Carolina Herrera is Scentual Desire's Fragrance Innovator of the Week - Videos, Blogs, Pics, Facts

Welcome back Scentual Desire's blog fans. We are so happy to deliver to you another one of our favorite fragrance innovators of the week. Carolina Herrera deserves to be celebrated for her hard work, dedication to beauty, and glamorous lifestyle. We love the many fine fragrances she has offered us over the years for not only women, but men too.

Carolina Herrera is a Venezuelan fashion designer who ran a phenomenal fashion empire centered around her designer clothing line that won praises for its elegant, feminine lines after its launch in 1980. Carolina Herrera, a long time resident of New York, is adored by the media as one of the most well-respected inside its fashion industry for her gracious manner. Born Maria Carolina Josefina Pacanins y Nino in Venezuela's capital city of Caracas on January 8, 1939, she was one of four daughters.

As we celebrate Carolina Herrera this week, we feel it only fitting to mention our favorite perfume in her line of fine fragrances. Not only is CH Carolina Herrera perfume a favorite of ours, but it is indeed one of our best sellers. Ch Carolina Herrera Perfume by Carolina Herrera, is an oriental/floral for women, created by Carolina Herrera and perfumer Oliver Cresp . An intriguing fragrance mysterious and complex opening with a floral accord of bergamot, orange, grapefruit and a juicy melon. I bulgarian rose, jasmine and praline are at the heart and the base is an oriental delight of cinnamon, woody notes and leather.

Versace Bright Crystal Perfume Has Staying Power

We continue this week with our fragrance innovator Gianni Versace. The Versace perfumes are rated among the most reputable and highly appreciated brands of the world. The first fragrance under Gianni Versace’s signature was launched in 1981. And, one of our all time favorites here at Scentual Desire is Bright Crystal Perfume.

One of the most loved products is the Versace Bright Crystal perfume. Designed by the perfumer Alberto Morillas in 2006, the fragrance of Versace Bright Crystal perfume reveals a charming and colourful musical metaphor. The top notes are offered by the yuzu and pomegranate scents, middle notes are generated by magnolia, peony, and the fresh smell of lotus flower, while the base notes come to moderate the intensity of the floral composition with musk, amber, and acajou.

Scentual Desire's Fragrance Innovator of the Week Celebrates Gianni Versace

We open our week up with a little history on Gianni. Born Giovanni Maria Versace; on December 2, 1946. Gianni was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy. Gianni was a middle child with an older brother Santo, and a younger sister Donatella. His mother was a dress maker and Gianni use to spend much of his childhood days with her, watching her, and dreaming.Many say that Gianni was an apprentice of his mother, who ran a workshop and employed many seamstresses.

However, Gianni did not concentrate his studies in the world of fashion. He actually studied architecture before moving to Milan at the age of 26 to work in fashion design. In the mid-1970s, Gianni drew the attention of headhunters at Genny and Callaghan. Gianni was hired to design their lace/leather collections, and later, encouraged by his success, Gianni presented his first signature collection for women at the Palazzo della Permanente Art Museum of Milan. His first fashion show followed in September of the same year. After presenting his menswear collection he joined Jorge Saud, who would later also become a partner with Giorgio Armani.

Gianni went on to have an incredible career in fashion and beauty, with a life full of triumph and tragedy.
